Fail.
Today was pretty much a fail overall. I was woken up 7:45 by a text from a friend asking me which volunteer group I was in (but I wasn’t participating in the volunteering). Fail. Went back to sleep for a bit, and when I woke up, I tried to call the mattress store to ask what time they would be delivering my mattress. I have been looking forward to this day since Friday, when I purchased said mattress. They were closed, so I had to wait til 10. In the meantime, I caught the shuttle to the grocery store and had a hayday. When I finished shopping, I came outside and realized I had just missed the last shuttle back to my apartment before the driver’s lunch break, so I had to wait 45 minutes for the next one. Fail. While I was waiting, I called the mattress place again, and they told me that my mattress wouldn’t be delivered til Thursday. I said, um, no way, give it to me right now. After haggling (of which I am very proud), I got them to refund my $80 delivery fee, but I still won’t have the mattress til Thursday. Huge Bummer. Then I realized I have orientation on Thursday and won’t be home to recieve it. Fail. This afternoon, I decided to go pick up my books from main campus and start on my reading for the first day of classes. Walked all the way there (about 1.5 ish miles, but this was by choice) in the midday sun, only to be told that because I ordered my books in such a timely manner, they had been placed on special hold with the law school, and would be available at Orientation on Thursday at WCL. Fail. So I spent the rest of the afternoon window shopping and came home for dinner and a glass of wine left over from this weekend. I think I might make cookies. Hope I don’t burn them or set the apartment on fire or something.
